The port of Civitavecchia it is not far to the
imposing ancient city of Rome, incomparable in terms of monuments,
gardens, villas, and works of art: to name but a few, the Coliseum,
the Capitol, Saint Peter's Basilica, ancient Ostia with the famous
mosaics in the Baths of Neptune, the Theatre, the Temple of Roma and
Augustus and the Forum with the remains of the Capitolium, the most
important temple of Ancient Rome.

From the top of Monte Tauro, splendid Taormina dominates the
surrounding area, proud to offer a view of the justly famous scenery
of this stretch of the Sicilian coast. The guided tour of the city,
by taking in the most important monuments, follows the history of
Taormina, a city influenced in its character and look by the Greek
and Roman domination. |

Patmos is most certainly one of the most impressive islands of the
Egean. It consists of three big blocks of rocks connected to
each-other by 2 small stripes of land. All together it is about 34
km2 long.
Patmos and Christianity are irresolubly linked. In the late 1st
century A.D. Emperor Dometian drove the Apostle St. John to the
exile of Patmos, whereby he is said to have experienced the terrible
visions of the Apocalypse and perhaps to have composed the 4th
Gospel. A
small cave, midway between the port of Skala and the capital of
Chora, is allegedly the scene of God's revelations, now turned into
a small monastic complex. |

The island, famous for its parties and night life,
also has a spectacular nature and sea.
The capital Mikonos is a sensational city: the port
with the pittoresque fishermen, the beautiful walk along the
beach, the white houses with colourful doors and windows, the narrow
streets and the places with the famous churches (over 400) with red
cupolas make it a unique place on earth. |

| In Turkey this city is called
"Beautiful Izmir". It is located at the end of a long,
narrow gulf, visited by yachts and ships.
Izmir
is the third city from Turkey and it has the second port in
importance after Istanbul. The cosmpolitic city Izmir vibrates all
year long of cultural and festiva activities, such as The
International Festival of the Arts (June-July) and the
International Fair (August-September). |

The
original city (today Bayrakli) was founded in the third milennium
before Christ and became, together with Troie, one of the most
developed cultures in the area.

This is one of the
most mysterious and impressive islands in the world, famous
for its breathtaking sunset. Santorini is the result of one of the
largest volcanic explosions ever (1450 a.c.). Some people pretend
that the famous lost continent of Atlantis that Plato wrote about,
is here.
The marvelous dry climate and continuous sunshine create year
round conditions which are perfect for observation, photographs and
videos under an extraordinary variety of natural lights and colours
that give the visitor the exceptional advantage of reaching the
interior of the volcano by boat. |
